Accounting Clerk: IV (Lead) 1194
Position Title: Cash Application Lead
Location: Sunfish Lake, MN
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 3+ months Contract
Job Type: Full Time- Contract (remote)
Salary Range: $35 -$40Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Requirements:- Cash Application
- Accounts Receivable
- SAP/ERP
Act as first level escalation point for any Cash Application issues reported by the specialist.
- Resolve, if possible, or raise to second level escalation.
- Monitor and pull bank account activity, along with daily activity reports.
- Ensure that receipts, discounts and adjustments are accurately posted to customer accounts in a timely manner to meet department goals on a daily and monthly basis.
- Identifies missing remittances and takes the necessary steps to obtain the appropriate documentation required to post cash.
- Prepare daily/monthly reports for unapplied cash.
- Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable GL account.
- Create dispute, assign reason code and dispute processor
- Identify opportunities to use automation and data to improve business performance.
- Assist in the development and improvement of Cash Application processes to create a more streamlined approach.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Finance Shared Services, Treasury, Credit COE and IT to ensure business needs are being met, and cash is being applied as efficiently and accurately as possible
- Ensure training documentation is accurate and updated regularly.
- Provide Cash application training to new employees and cross functional candidates
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cash application or other related field.
- Excellent communication, organizational, inter-personal, problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities, including report writing, requirements gathering and system knowledge.
- Change-oriented continuous improvement process skills.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Experience leading a team in a non-supervisory capacity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel)
