Job Description:

An Azure Platform Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's Azure cloud infrastructure. Here are some key responsibilities and skills typically associated with this role:

Responsibilities:

• Managing and deploying Azure services: Ensuring that various Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, and networking, are properly set up and functioning.
• Monitoring and optimizing performance: Keeping an eye on the performance of Azure resources and optimizing configurations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implementing security measures: Setting up and managing security policies, access controls, and firewalls to protect Azure resources and data.
• Backup and disaster recovery: Establishing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues: Identifying and fixing any issues that arise within the Azure environment.
• Automation and scripting: Using automation tools and scripting languages (such as PowerShell or Azure CLI) to streamline tasks and maintain consistency.
• Collaborating with teams: Working closely with developers, system architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Azure services: Strong understanding of Azure's wide range of services and products.
• Cloud infrastructure management: Experience in managing cloud infrastructure, including public clouds like AWS and Google Cloud.
• Security knowledge: Familiarity with implementing security measures and managing access controls.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Team collaboration: Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with other departments.
