Infrastructure Engineer

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Engineer!

Position Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Remote Role
Note: This role will be Monday through Friday for the first month but will shift to Thursday through Monday thereafter.
Anticipated Start Date: 04/07/2025

Expected Duration: 2+ Months
Pay Range: $60hr-$65/hr
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.)

Job Description:
* Responsible for working on projects with VMWare/Windows technology
* Responsible for providing a combination of VMware with Linux/Windows support/ backup and storage/ networking mix
* Responsible for migrations, ESXi activities, troubleshooting issues in VMWare and incident support
* Will be Installing approved ESX Servers, vSphere Client and VCenter Server
* Will be creating the datastore for storing VMs and data
* Deploying Virtual Machines and use Clones, Snapshots, templates
* Performing Health Check for VMs and ESX host
* Troubleshooting production issues
* Deploying and providing support to customers based on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
* Performing Cloud cost optimization, migration readiness assessments and value realization
* Creating terraform templates as per the automation needs
* Ability to participate in 'on call' rotations

Qualifications:
* 3 years hands-on experience with Enterprise Cloud services
* Hands-on experience with Enterprise tools
* In-depth knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, Subnet, VLAN - Creation/Segregation, Load Balancing and VPN tunneling
* Knowledge of cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs and recommendations
* Knowledge of cloud management technologies, techniques and cloud-based solutions
* Windows/VMware/Linux Administration
* Knowledge on Storage, Networking
