BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Pharmacovigilance Specialist I for an opportunity in Remote - EST/CST!

Pay Range: [$17] - [$19]

    Job Description:

    Position Purpose

    The Pharmacovigilance Specialist I is responsible for collecting, processing, and reporting adverse events (AEs) and product complaints received from healthcare professionals and consumers. This role ensures timely and accurate submission of AE cases to pharmaceutical clients or the FDA and supports safety monitoring efforts across assigned pharmaceutical products.

    Key Responsibilities

    Collect, monitor, and process adverse event (AE) reports and product complaints. Respond to and manage information queries related to AEs. Submit AE cases and related documentation to pharma clients or the FDA. Review safety and medical data for assigned products, including components of study protocols. Prepare and mail time-sensitive documents related to case processing. Utilize tools such as ScriptMed, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDFs for data input and manipulation. Maintain daily assignment tracking via shared Excel logs and email. Meet daily performance metrics (33 processed reports per 8-hour day).

    Education & Experience

    Required:

    High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare-related role Basic computer and keyboarding skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    Preferred:

  • Associate degree
  • Experience in medical assistance or project coordination
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance/adverse event reporting

Training & Onboarding

  • Duration: 4-8 weeks
  • Format: Shadowing experienced team members on live tasks
  • Requirements: Full availability during training; minimal time off recommended

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)
