Job Description

We are seeking a SAP Consultant Contractor to join our dynamic team supporting a Deloitte project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP FI with cross-functional expertise in CO, PS, MM, and SD and a proven ability to implement and optimize SAP solutions, lead M&A integrations, and resolve complex finance process challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and configure SAP modules to meet business requirements and improve system functionality.
• Analyze business processes and provide recommendations aligned to SAP best practices across FI/CO and integrated modules.
• Create and maintain documentation for SAP configurations, customizations, and functional specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP applications, data migration, and integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate findings, and support project execution.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with system change requirements and conversion activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in SAP FI, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA).
• Hands-on SAP CO experience in Cost Center Accounting, complex allocations, overhead burdening, Profit Center Accounting, intercompany accounting, revenue recognition and reporting, Tax, and Treasury.
• Proven experience with data migration and system conversions, including M&A integration planning and execution.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, reconcile discrepancies, and present clear findings to leadership.
• Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Experience collaborating across multi-disciplined user groups and writing functional specifications.
• 6-9 years of relevant SAP FI/CO experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to SAP PS, MM, and SD integration points with FI/CO.
• Experience in project environments focused on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
