- Candidate Engagement - Guide executive level candidates through interviews and closing, ensuring logistical needs are met. Anticipate objections, negotiate effectively, and deliver hiring solutions that align with both immediate and long-term business goals.
- Screening - Manage and improve the candidate screening process by identifying and promoting best practices to ensure a strong and qualified talent pool.
- Assessment Opportunities - Lead the candidate assessment framework, driving best practices and creating tools aligned to key competencies and role requirements to ensure high-quality hires.
- Use deep knowledge of competitor opportunities to differentiate Microsoft's unique career possibilities, advantages, and rewards and leverage a consistent, compelling message that conveys the most significant motivators to prospective candidates.
- Internal Practices - Share proven stories that help others across the discipline to source, recruit, and/or close candidates; track candidate activity and share with internal stakeholders.
- Business Insight - Use a strong understanding of business needs (such as time to hire, location, and budget) to effectively execute recruitment searches that align with hiring manager priorities.
- Client Communication - Work with the recruiting leaders to provide regular updates, set expectations, and align on priorities. Tailor communication styles and content to suit different audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the hiring process.
- Talent Engagement & Influence - Consult with senior stakeholders on critical talent needs, using data and storytelling to influence hiring decisions. Advocate for nontraditional and competitive talent pools, helping leaders expand their view of what great talent looks like.
- Matrixed Environment & Stakeholder Management - Operate effectively within a matrixed organization by collaborating with stakeholders across functions, regions, and business units. Navigate complex processes and organizational structures to build consensus and align diverse perspectives with hiring goals. Influence and communicate clearly with senior leaders, hiring managers, and cross-functional partners in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Candidate Relationship Management & Market Analysis - Build and nurture long-term relationships with talent communities and develop innovative sourcing strategies. Analyze market trends to ensure a competitive edge in attracting top talent.
- Follow staffing policies, processes, and guidelines to ensure compliance and accurate documentation. Maintain data integrity and support efficient, high-quality recruiting operations.
- Create clear, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations for executive and client audiences, ensuring complex information is communicated effectively.
- Write concise, persuasive content for presentation decks, including executive summaries, candidate profiles, and strategic recommendations.
- Executive-Level Reporting & Presentation - Create and deliver high-impact, client-ready presentations and reports tailored to both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders, translating complex recruiting data and insights into compelling narratives that support strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrate agility and sound judgment when navigating ambiguous or rapidly changing situations.
- Make effective decisions with incomplete information, proactively seeking clarity and guiding stakeholders through uncertainty.
- Thrive in environments with high ambiguity, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency in driving recruiting processes and delivering results within tight timelines.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet critical deadlines and respond promptly to changing business needs.
- 10+ years of executive recruiting experience
- Demonstrated success in executive-level recruiting within engineering or technical domains is required
