Application Programmer VBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated "Application programmer V " for an opportunity in US - Jersey City, NJ-USA, 07302 Position Title: Application programmer V Location: Jersey City, NJ-USA, 07302Job Posting Expected Start Date: 11/15/2024(Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extensionJob Type: 40 hours work week Pay Rate: $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr on W2 Job Description* Design and build horizontally scalable components within the major platform that the team is developing
* Review and provide code feedback in terms of best practices with keen eye toward performance and stability optimizations
* Become subject matter expert on code deployed on our platform and support to other developers
* Write reusable and extendable code and become a key contributor to the core platform
* Consistently work to make our software simpler
* Challenge yourself and your peers always to improve
* Expertise in functional and object-oriented programming, specifically in Python
* Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases
* Strong in Algorithms and Data Structures
* Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as robust microservices
* Experience in writing unit tests in pytest or unit test
* Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation
* Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem-solving
