Job Description: IT Software QA Specialist Sr

Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Location: Remote

Pay Rate: $51.00/hr on W2
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Full Time/ W2

Primary Purpose:
The IT Software QA Specialist Sr will engage in the end-to-end software testing cycle for assigned projects, ensuring that software applications meet defined requirements. This role includes developing, maintaining, testing, and debugging tests while formulating specifications for testing applications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Testing and Analysis: Independently create and execute test plans, test designs, and test data. Analyze user needs and assist in designing tests to verify that requirements have been met.
• Collaboration: Work closely with QA, Software Architecture (SA), and Development teams for effective defect resolution.
• Documentation: Develop and document test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (both manual and automated).
• Project Management: Manage deliverables across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
• Software Verification: Develop and modify software test scripts and plans to ensure systems meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain knowledge of current quality assurance tools and technologies, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines.
• Communication: Prepare documentation on new or existing software and communicate findings and testing outcomes to project management and stakeholders.
• Support: Investigate escalated issues from support staff and implement necessary corrections to software or data.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in IT/computer science, including 3 years of testing and business analysis experience. Strong experience in interpreting user requirements and developing business application tests is preferred.
• Skills and Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of software testing and test design.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL with the ability to write medium to complex queries.
• Experience with SAP BO, Tableau, Oracle Exadata, and SAP HANA is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills for data test analysis.
