Delegation Specialist
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Delegation Specialist //Remote
Job title :Delegation Specialist
Location: Remote, FL (with occasional travel if required)
Assignment Duration: 6 months (possibility to extend or convert)
Payrate :$ $ 30.00/hr
Target Start Date: September 22, 2025
Position Purpose
The Delegation Specialist will serve as the primary liaison with delegated entities, ensuring compliance with NCQA standards and company policies. This role is responsible for conducting audits, preparing reports, overseeing delegated functions, and supporting credentialing activities. The Delegation Specialist plays a key role in maintaining provider data integrity, ensuring timely processing, and fostering successful delegation partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct delegation audits for assigned functions and ensure compliance with monitoring requirements.
- Communicate reporting requirements, audit outcomes, and compliance results to delegated entities and internal management.
- Manage monthly delegated rosters and reconciliations while maintaining accurate provider data in internal systems.
- Serve as the point of contact for delegated groups, supporting inquiries and resolving issues.
- Collect and validate annual compliance documents (e.g., Disclosure of Ownership forms, W9s).
- Assist with Credentialing Committee activities and policy/procedure maintenance related to delegation.
- Compile and assemble pre-delegation packets for prospective entities and ensure adherence to delegation standards.
- Support background screenings, administrative subcontractor reporting, and other compliance-related activities.
- Partner with internal teams to complete requests within the required 45-day turnaround.
- Participate in meetings, special projects, and audits as needed.
- Ensure successful delegation partnerships and department quality through proactive oversight.
- Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with company policies and standards.
Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in delegation, credentialing, or provider data management.
- Preferred: 5+ years in a professional or corporate environment, NCQA knowledge, and/or NAMSS Credentialing Certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Must-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management, organizational ability, and prioritization under deadlines.
- Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with NCQA standards and credentialing processes.
- Experience in healthcare provider relations or compliance.
Licensure/Certification
- Valid driver's license and car insurance may be required depending on health plan assignment.
Work Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible; OT available once performance metrics are met).
- Environment: Remote (FL-based), not member-facing or facility-based.
- Duration: 6 months with the possibility to extend or convert to full-time
