Pay Range: [$68.00] to [$72.50]

Title: Software Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months contract to hire

Job Description:

- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors

- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others

-Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes

-Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus

-Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle

-Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

-Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required:

-Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

-Hands-on practical experience in system design, AI full stack development, testing, and operational stability

-Hands on experience with MLOps tools and practices, ensuring seamless integration of machine learning models into production environments.

-Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable experience in data modeling, machine learning, NLP, API etc.)

-Use a range of different technologies and languages (such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React) to develop applications

-Proficient in coding in Java based frameworks like Spring boot/Spring.

-Able to design React UI components as per the business requirements.

-Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, GIT/Bitbucket, Jira, etc.

-Understanding of technologies such as Micro services, Containers, Oracle DB, SQL, NoSQL, Splunk, Dynatrace, Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

-Formal training or certification on applied AIML concepts and applied experience.

-Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

-Exposure to working with LLM application and building the necessary models using RAG.

-Understanding of the Application Observability

SRE concepts like SLI & SLO and Error budget.

-Exposure to PromQL is an added advantage.

-Experience with APIGEE API management system.
