Role: Forward Deployment Engineer
We are seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer with strong development and communication skills to build and deliver world-class solutions for customer-facing AI Agents. In this role, you will help improve our core services where needed, implement clean and reliable communication between internal and external systems, and explore innovative Conversational UI experiences.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with customers to architect, deploy, and continuously improve cutting-edge AI Agents.
- Build tools to tune LLM-based features and deploy agents, MCP, and RAG solutions in production environments.
- Take end-to-end ownership of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, project teams, and customers to ensure implementations exceed expectations.
- Operate as an integrated member of a fully remote, cross-functional Agile team within the Transformation organization.
- Own the integration of Conversational AI solutions, including specification and design.
- Work with internal tools and processes for creating and managing AI Agents.
- Participate in regular on-call rotations to support systems and customers.
- Travel minimally, as required.
What You'll Bring
- B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., math, physics, engineering), with strong computer science fundamentals.
- Proven track record with 2+ years of experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying generative AI and agentic AI applications in production.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate closely in small, fast-moving product teams.
- A strong sense of ownership and customer empathy, with the ability to maintain positive working relationships in a high-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with comfort speaking directly to customers.
- Interest in exploring the nuance and aesthetics of conversational experiences.
- Curiosity, proactivity, and a strong desire to learn.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
Work Environment
- Mental: Requires clear and conceptual thinking, sound judgment, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage work-related stress, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Physical: Computer keyboarding and travel as required.
- Auditory/Visual: Hearing, vision, and speaking abilities are required.
