Data Entry 1
Position Title: Claims Analyst
Locations: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: 6/30/2025
Expected Duration: 06+ Months
Job Type: Contract with possible extension
Shift Timings:
* Flexible hours preferred between 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM local time
Pay Rate $21.00/hr. on W2
Job Summary
The primary function of a Data Entry Specialist is to operate data entry devices such as a keyboard or computer to verify and input data. This role requires accuracy in documentation and effective personal project management. Key technical skills include documentation and time management.
Key Responsibilities
- Read source documents (e.g., canceled checks, sales reports, bills) and enter data into specific fields using keyboards or scanners.
- Compile, sort, and verify data accuracy prior to entry.
- Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
- Compare data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
- Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
- Enter final payment determination data into shared Excel spreadsheets based on email documents.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Completion of a data entry speed and accuracy test (may be required)
- Familiarity with medical claims and Amisys
