Pay Range: $45.00/hr (W2)

Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team onsite. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in core accounting, period close, financial reporting, and process controls and a proven ability to own complex journal entries, drive reconciliations and analyses, and support audits and cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
- Own complex journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
- Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Analyze variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
- Execute revenue recognition and contract accounting.
- Handle intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and management reports.
- Support external financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit requests.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, including SOX if applicable.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements and automation.
- Document accounting procedures and workflows to ensure data integrity.
- Provide accounting guidance to non-finance stakeholders and partner with Division Finance and Technical Accounting.
- Review work of junior accountants and provide training and informal supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5-7+ years of relevant accounting experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- ERP proficiency; Sage experience a plus.
- Ability to meet scheduled and ad hoc deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong initiative.
- Collaborative team player with high professional standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SOX controls and audit support.
- Background in process improvement and automation.
