Payrate : $17/hr
Duration : 3+ MonthsPosition Summary:The Materials Technician II is responsible for performing various Supply Chain functions, including receiving incoming supplies, inventory control, maintaining PAR levels, fulfilling requisitions, and delivering supplies across the facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the availability of medical supplies to support patient care needs in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:

- Unload delivery trucks, check for damaged boxes, sign for parcels, and deliver stock supplies to Central Supply and other departments throughout the facility and off-site locations.
- Prepare parcels for shipping out via courier.
- Match packing slips with received supplies to ensure that the correct quantities are received.
- Receive daily stock orders, restock shelves, rotate supplies, and monitor expiration dates to ensure all materials are in proper condition.
- Count and restock PAR locations daily to maintain established PAR levels and prevent stockouts.
- Fill and deliver departmental daily requisitions to support various units.
- Answer incoming calls and provide assistance to end users as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized supply areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Perform weekly cycle counts of Central Supply items to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Prepare parcels for shipping to expedite hospital supplies in a timely manner.
Position Requirements:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- 2 years of related experience (e.g., storeroom receiving, inventory management, or supply chain) is preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to move large amounts of weight on carts or using a pallet jack.
- Familiarity with inventory management, stocking, and customer service preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications:
- None required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Occasional repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
- Work Conditions:
- Occasional exposure to extreme cold, heat, humidity, noise, and vibration.
- Travel: Seldom (up to 5%).
- Dress Code:
- Black scrubs only. No unacceptable attire.
- Shift Hours:
- Weekdays: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Rotating shift: the later shift will rotate monthly.
- Weekend shifts: Rotating weekends, 10 hours per day (Saturday and Sunday). The weekend shift begins at 6:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.
- Weekend Shift:
- Rotating weekends: 10 hours per day or 20 hours per weekend. One weekend per month.
- Required Skills/Experience:
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including moving heavy materials and working with carts/pallet jacks.
- Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in inventory management, stocking, and customer service (2 years preferred).

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
