Supply Planner - Job Description
Role Mandate
The Supply Planner is responsible for maintaining optimal supply levels, resolving supply discrepancies, and forecasting future supply needs to support global infrastructure projects. This role focuses on enhancing business processes, tools, and analytics for demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management. The Supply Planner acts as the primary contact for infrastructure supply plans supporting mass production builds at data centers, POPs, and MNA locations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory and supply levels to meet project and operational requirements.
- Research and resolve supply discrepancies, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Forecast future supply needs using data-driven methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply and demand.
- Support procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders and tracking procurement-related issues to resolution.
- Collaborate with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to review and manage supply and demand, ensuring alignment with production needs.
- Triage and escalate supply chain issues to appropriate contacts, facilitating swift resolution.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze key supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement process improvements using continuous improvement methodologies.
- Work with IT system developers to specify, implement, and validate new tools/systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
- Prepare process workflows and associated documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Assist with business support and analysis tasks to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
Team & Reporting Structure
- Part of the Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering team, reporting to the Global Technology Source team.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners and stakeholders across procurement, operations, and IT.

- Ability to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Effectiveness in communication and collaboration with coworkers, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders.
- Quality, accuracy, and clarity of output and documentation.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have Skills
- Experience with Google Appsheet.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, including scheduling, warehousing, fulfilment, and reverse logistics.
- Proficiency in procurement processes, especially issuing purchase orders and managing order fulfilment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in tactical data analytics, procurement support, and other business operations.
- Project management and Production/Planning MRP experience.
- Experience writing SQL queries or a quantitative background with a willingness to learn.
- Experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply planning.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Power BI.
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to various levels of management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive projects and programs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a related field.
- BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
