Position: Inside/Outside Research worker
Location: Johnston, IA 50131
Duration: 03+ Months (Possible Extension)
work Type: Onsite
Pay Rate: $25.28/hr

Note: Seasonal Role - Could work Inside or Outside at different times of the year.

Critical skills:
* Must be detail orientated
* Basic computer knowledge & navigational skills
* Have a basic understanding of written and spoken English preferred
* Communicate effectively with supervisor.
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures
* Ability to follow safety procedures

Other information:
* Employees will have one 15 minute break for each 4 hours worked
* Lunches are limited to 30 minutes per full shift.
* This assignment is not a temp-to-hire position.

Corteva shall supply:
* All required personal protective equipment
* COVID supplies-mask

Outside Research Worker (Typically Summer/Fall)
Duties & Responsibilities (may include any or all of the following):
* Harvest plant material according to defined protocol
* Research Plot Maintenance
* Discarding Seed
* Field Data Collection
* General Housekeeping

Expectations of employment:
* Able to complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time
* Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
* Must be 18 years or older
* Willingness to travel
* Willingness to work more than 8 hours a day (part of your day will be spend traveling to offsite locations)
* Have schedule availability (Must be able to work from early morning until the evening)
* Ability to work around soybeans, corn, pollen, and dust for long periods of time
* Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
* Work well with team members
* Ability to walk/stand/crouch for several hours at a time
* Need to be able and willing to walk on uneven ground
* Need to be able to work at different height levels (overhead and ground level)
* Workers are expected to be on time when scheduled
* Must have a reliable means to work
* Employees will be asked to make/receive personal phone calls during their breaks unless it's an emergency
* Workers are expected to meet minimum performance standards.

Other preferred skills:
* Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment

Inside Research Worker (Summer/Fall)
Duties & Responsibilities (may include any or all of the following):
* Weighing Samples
* Processing plant samples (partitioning and milling)
* Ability to use Research equipment
* General housekeeping

Expectations of employment:
* Able to complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time
* Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
* Must be 18 years or older
* Workers are expected to be on time when scheduled
* Hours may vary with work days occasionally lasting more than 8 hours.
* Must have a reliable means to work
* May be asked to work with seed treatments
* May be asked to lift up to 50 Lbs.
* Must be able to stand 8 hours a day
* Ability to work in dusty environment
* Employees will be asked to make/receive personal phone calls during their breaks unless it's an emergency
* Workers are expected to meet minimum performance standards.

Other preferred skills:
* Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment
* Experience using Barcode Scanners preferred
