Job Type: 40 hours work week
Pay Rate: $65/hr to $70/hr

Job Description:
As a Python developer in the team you will design, develop, maintain and test software, collaborating with the development team and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in an agile environment. Should be hands on and able to successfully deliver on time without defects. Ability to achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications is needed. Fully competent to work under general direction on the most complex projects, often on multiple phases, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior associates or manager, as needed. Working knowledge of business or function for which application is designed. Often responsible for the completion of a phase of a project. Provides guidance and checks the work of less experienced associates.

Responsibilities:

• Providing application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.
• Ensuring systems design, business requirements, and architecture of solution is well understood by involved parties and responsible for overall delivery of software products.
• Individual will be working closely with multiple Development teams to build a process (using Python and integrating with multiple systems via APIs such as an OCR/NLP vendor tools, Automation tools, etc.)
• Out of box thinking, unit and performance testing, job scheduling, data extraction/analysis and understanding of important algorithms for performance enhancement are some key required skills in an ideal candidate.
• Successful candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience developing models or analytical processes using Python.

• Experience developing scalable software solutions which work with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Strategic thinker that can understand complex business challenges and deliver solutions

• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have strong communication skills
• Self-starter who initiates work independently, before being asked.
• 5+ years of exposure/experience with relevant modern programming paradigms (such as: cloud, containers, DevSecOps, SRE, CI/CB/CD, Jira/Jenkins/Confluence/git/modern source control strategies and tools, automation).
• Experience with Banking client Quartz platform required
• Strong programming skills with core EIT development tools:

• experience with development tools (Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, PyCharm)
• strong functional and object-oriented programming skills, ideally in Python including usage of Python libraries (NumPy, pandas, dask, ray, tensorflow, pytorch, pytest, ibis, etc.)
• strong SQL programming skills including deep understanding how to drive efficient SQL usage (partitioning, primary and foreign keys, RDBMS vs Hadoop, etc.)
• experience of software development lifecycle including design, modular development of codebases, automation of unit, integration, regression, performance testing, etc.
• knowledge/experience of Starburst Trino
