BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer for an opportunity, Corvallis, OR!

Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

Expected Duration: 24+ months contract + Renewable

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [ONSITE]

Pay Range: $32 - 34/hr only on W2

Job Description:

• Work alongside R&D design engineers to help manage project CAD and parts within HPs product data management (PDM) system. This includes working across HP teams and suppliers to ensure CAD/parts are maintained to the latest/current revision and accessible.
• Manage R&D projects in Windchill, HPs PDM system (checking models and drawings out and in for suppliers, checking-in supplier designed models and drawings into the PDM).
• Assist engineers by putting items in the Windchill system
• Assist engineers by updating CAD models and drawings
• Assist engineers by getting changes through the change management system
• Assist engineers by getting part numbers for new parts
• Assist engineers by ordering, shipping, receiving, and tracking parts
• Assist engineers by classifying standard parts in Windchill (fasteners, fittings, etc.) to enable attribute searches and parts reuse

Education and Experience Required:

• AA/AS Degree in Business or Technical area or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• May include highly experienced individuals performing equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field or equivalent vocational or military training.
• Experience working in a fast-paced R&D environment with continuous changes
• Experience working with CAD, BOMs and other design documentation
• Computer skills in basic programs (MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to learn and work in new CAD software as needed
• Highly organized and with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate to various levels of engineering and management
• Excellent time management
• Creative problem-solving skills

Desired Skills & Knowledge (but not required)

• Basic knowledge of Creo Elements Direct, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD software
• Basic knowledge of Windchill PDM system
