Vulnerability Remediation Analyst
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Vulnerability Remediation Analyst opportunity in Chicago, IL!
Position Title: Vulnerability Remediation AnalystLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Anticipated Start Date: 06/24

Expected Duration: 12+ months contract + Renewable

Pay Range: $45 - $50/hrPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Summary:- Prioritizing and addressing endpoint security vulnerabilities
- Vulnerability and user impact assessment, adherence to remediation SLAs, and effective collaboration across teams for complex remediation efforts.
- Vulnerability assessment reports, facilitating the collection of vulnerability data in line with key performance indicators, and utilizing BI tools to support data analysis.
- Prioritize, triage, and investigate vulnerabilities, focusing on expanding the scope of impact and prioritization against CDR remediation SLAs.
- Collaborate with DT teams to understand their workflows, priorities, and constraints related to vulnerability remediation.
- Create, maintain, and optimize operational documentation and workflows.
- Facilitate and optimize vulnerabilities in alignment with KPIs and report baseline results in comparison to resolution metrics.
- Develop communication plans to inform end users about upcoming remediation activities, including expected impacts, timelines, and actions required.
- Utilize ServiceNow Vulnerability Response, vulnerability dashboards, and endpoint configuration management tools as a point of reference, track metrics of open and resolved vulnerabilities, create change records, update incident tickets related to vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with data analytics/PowerBI/UDH/other data modeling interfaces
- Experience with Vulnerability Management Analysis - vulnerabilities on production end-user devices, particularly those running software applications such as Java, Adobe products, Oracle, Visual Studio, Edge Chromium, Chrome, Firefox, WinSCP, and others.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response - experience leveraging the platform for incident response, ticketing, and asset management with security context.
a. Regulatory compliance requirements and/or frameworks related to cyber security (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, NIST CSF).
b. Key security concepts - Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability
c. Infrastructure technology concepts - business continuity, PCI compliance, internal auditing, reporting, and total cost of ownership.Benefits:
