Job Description

We are seeking a Cut & Wrap Operator to support the safe and efficient production of packaged goods in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards. The successful candidate will execute packaging tasks per the daily schedule, follow supervisor instructions, and maintain a clean, compliant work area.

Responsibilities:

• Operate cut and wrap equipment to meet production and quality targets.
• Follow the daily packaging schedule and instructions from the Production Manager/Supervisor.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform autonomous, proficient tasks with general supervision.
• Monitor equipment operation and report issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related manufacturing or packaging experience or training preferred.
• Math ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in a production environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience operating cut and wrap or similar packaging machinery.
• Experience working safely near moving mechanical parts and in loud environments.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to electrical shock risk, extreme non-weather heat, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Loud noise level. Proper PPE use required.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Infrequently move up to 1000 pounds with appropriate equipment.
• Regular standing, frequent use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
