BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Snowflake Data Architect for an opportunity in Fully remote

Position Title: Snowflake Data Architect

Location: Fully Remote in NYC, NY

Anticipated Start Date: 16th - October - 2024

Expected Duration: 6+ months contract to permanent

Pay Range: $85.00/hr - $90.00/hr

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Migration Planning: Develop comprehensive migration plans tailored to customer needs, ensuring a smooth transition from Oracle to Snowflake.
* Technical Leadership: Act as the technical expert for all aspects of Snowflake during implementation, guiding customers through the migration process.
* Data Architecture: Design and optimize Snowflake's logical, conceptual, and physical data models.
* Performance Tuning: Implement performance tuning and database optimization techniques to ensure efficient data processing.
* Collaboration: Work closely with customers, system integrators, and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
* Documentation: Create detailed documentation and presentations to share learnings and best practices.
* Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake's products and services.

Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in data management solutions, with hands-on experience in migrating databases.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Unix Shell/Python scripting, and performance tuning. Experience with AWS/Azure and Snowflake's features like RBAC controls, scalable virtual warehouses, and cost optimization.
* Certifications: Certified Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse Architect (desirable).
* Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:
* Data Security: Experience with data security and access controls in Snowflake.
* Cloud Integration: Expertise in integrating Snowflake with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
