Pay Rate: $44.00/ hour (W2)
Need: Strong SQL and database management skills, data visualization and communication abilities, and critical thinking/problem-solving aptitude note that prior work with MHS requires hiring manager review.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience, or 1+ years of HEDIS data analysis experience including measurement and rates impacted.
BUSINESS ANALYTICS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience, or 1+ years of related IT experience, including data warehouse, coding, or ETL experience.
PHARMACY UNDERWRITING:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience, or 1+ years of related financial or IT experience, including data warehouse, SQL, coding experience, financial reporting/auditing, underwriting, client reporting, or predictive analytics experience.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze health management programs, including data collection, validation, and outcome measurement.
- May include analysis of financial, pharmacy, claims, provider, and member data.
- Support IRS, CMS, HHSC, and HEDIS reporting requirements.
- Perform internal data cleansing and data reconciliation analysis.
- Conduct trend analysis across various functional areas of healthcare management.
- Create and generate reports using MS Excel, MS Access, and SQL via Business Objects interface and direct links to core databases (ODS/EDW).
- Produce reports for and interface with senior management and internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather and interpret business requirements and monitor data trends to proactively identify issues.
- Execute data changes and update core systems as needed.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines effectively and communicate risks and issues to manager regularly.
- Assist with training lower-level Data Analysts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, data manipulation, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, as well as query optimization and performance tuning.
- Understanding of normalization/denormalization and designing relational schemas.
- Experience with MS Excel, SQL using Visual Studio, automating jobs with Visual Studio SSIS, Power BI interface, and direct links to core databases (EDW/Snowflake).
- Understanding of how SFTP works (SSH-based file transfer).
- Familiarity with tools like WinSCP, FileZilla, or command-line SFTP.

The purpose of the team is to complete scheduled and ad hoc reporting requests for the organization. - Describe the surrounding team (team culture, work environment, etc.) & key projects.
The team is located remotely but stays in close contact via Teams and email. There is a strong support system for data analysts. Reporting and projects are primarily claims-, member-, and provider-focused. - Do you have any additional upcoming hiring needs or is this request part of a larger hiring initiative?
This request is part of the larger membership increase for MHS.
Typical Day in the Role
- Walk me through the day-to-day responsibilities and a description of the project (outside of the Workday JD).
Complete reporting and data analytics requests using various tools. Requests are submitted via JIRA. - What are the performance expectations/metrics?
Performance expectations are based on individual reporting requirements. - What makes this role unique?
This role will assist the team by completing routine and ad hoc requests, allowing others to focus on other tasks.
