Job Description: Role Title & Department
Technical Architect (Service Build) - Customer Communications Management (CCM) and Transactional Print & Mail, within the Communication Services organisation, Solution Design COE & Professional Service, reporting to the Manager - Solution Architects. Purpose of the Role
This position supports the implementation of newly won contracts, either within existing Xerox Shared Delivery Centers or as on-premises dedicated facilities. The Technical Architect works across data processing, document composition, transactional print, and multi-channel delivery functions, focusing on implementing transactional print and CCM solutions, managing development and testing of application workflows, supporting service transition to live delivery, documenting software and hardware components, and adapting solutions through the Change Management Process while maintaining expertise in Xerox services and industry trends. Scope of Role
Collaborating closely with Solution Architects, IT Developers, Service Delivery, and external partners, the Technical Architect leads the development, testing, and deployment of new production applications and infrastructure. They manage the implementation workstream from contract to service-delivery handover, ensuring end-to-end solution deployment, documentation, and successful Operational Readiness Review. Extensive travel may be required. Key Responsibilities
Proven experience in complex, service-based, technology-enabled outsourced businesses such as transactional print and mailing, with expertise in onboarding and automating transactional print and multi-channel delivery applications. Strong background in migrating paper-based communications to digital channels and delivering personalized, 1-to-1 multi-channel communications. Technical Expertise
Knowledge of multi-channel output delivery (preferably Quadient Inspire Suite), production workflow automation (Quadient Inspire Automation Suite), secure file transfer techniques, page description languages, format conversion, data triggers, data integrity management, data cleansing, mail sortation and postal discounts, document composition (Quadient Inspire, HP Exstream, Doc1), digital printing, enveloping, and hybrid mail solutions. Supporting Skills & Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate technical features and business benefits. Strong MS Office proficiency. Desirable certifications include ITIL and Microsoft credentials, along with familiarity with ITIL principles and their practical application. - Due Diligence: Participate in discovery projects to validate solution assumptions, mitigate risk, and ensure smooth delivery to agreed service levels.
- Operational Procedures & Documentation: Work with Service Delivery and IT Training teams to ensure all solutions and operational procedures are clearly documented and understood.
- Support Procedures: Formalize and document ongoing support processes to enable efficient issue escalation.
- Testing: Prepare and execute test plans for new applications and changes, escalating failures to IT Development and Solution Architects for design adjustments.
- Implementation & Training Input: Provide specialist technical and procedural input to implementation and training plans.
- Knowledge Sharing: Proactively share knowledge, improve methodologies, update best practices, and promote continuous learning across teams.
- Professional Development: Take responsibility for personal growth while contributing to the development of Technical Architect expertise within Xerox.
