BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior OCM Consultant for an opportunity in Minneapolis, MN!

Position Title: Senior OCM Consultant

Location: Minneapolis, MN!

Anticipated Start Date: 1/20/2025.

Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Job Type: Contract, Remote

Salary Range: $75/hr - $85/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant to support change execution for a Finance-focused initiative. This senior-level role partners directly with the OCM Finance Lead, focusing on delivering key aspects of the change management plan. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in change management, particularly within Finance organizations, and demonstrate the ability to execute strategies effectively in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Organizational Change Management (60%)

  • Collaborate with the OCM Finance Lead to develop and execute change strategies tailored to Finance stakeholders.
  • Plan and implement change management initiatives, integrating deliverables into the overall project plan.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of change delivery, including business readiness and end-user adoption metrics.
  • Conduct detailed stakeholder analyses and create engagement plans in partnership with IT and business teams.
  • Identify and address change impacts in collaboration with global process teams and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Facilitate change advocate meetings to cascade communication and drive end-user engagement.
  • Coach organizational leaders on adoption strategies, communication plans, and change impact prioritization.
  • Gather and assess feedback from impacted audiences to refine change strategies.
  • Partner with learning and development teams to ensure effective training solutions and monitor adoption success.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies in collaboration with communication teams.
2. Organizational Readiness and Collaboration (20%)

  • Support HR during workforce transitions, role adjustments, and operating model changes.
  • Conduct change readiness assessments to evaluate behavioral and organizational preparedness.
  • Collaborate with learning and development teams, superusers, and SMEs to deliver integrated change adoption solutions.
  • Plan and execute communication strategies for organizational readiness impacts.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Support (20%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Finance stakeholders and leaders.
  • Provide visible leadership to ensure alignment and foster trust among project teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by mentoring teams on change management best practices.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior, Organization Development, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in organizational development, management consulting, or corporate communications, with a focus on change management.
  • Proven success in executing change strategies for Finance-focused initiatives.
  • Experience supporting finance systems, including SAP S/4HANA implementation or similar finance technology transformations.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute change management plans without leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field or certifications such as:
  • Project Management Certification
  • Change Management Certification
  • Organizational Development Certification
  • Cross-functional experience in Finance and technology transformation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives at various phases of execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
