Job Title: IT Analyst Associate
Location: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: 02/27
Expected Duration: 11+ Months
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr on W2
Primary Purpose:
To understand and help define requirements and perform analysis for various strategic and tactical projects to assist in developing or modifying simple to moderately complex software programs that meet desired business needs. This role involves assisting in developing and submitting requirements to programmers, participating in review sessions with developers, quality analysts, and management, and potentially performing development tasks as applicable.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve as IT Analyst Associate for assigned projects, assisting in project execution as applicable.
- Assist in performing moderately complex data and system analysis, including the creation of derived fields, formatting, process flows, and data diagrams.
- Ensure the accuracy of software programs by completing required development tasks within specified timeframes.
- Collaborate with management throughout the project lifecycle from inception to implementation, ensuring effective internal communication and user involvement.
- Analyze client and customer needs, assisting with the requirement process and development, and performing unit testing of simple to moderately complex code.
- Proactively gather necessary information for the successful development of software programs.
- Program and test using Informatica, PL/SQL, Progress, and other specified programming languages.
- Complete necessary documentation to maintain a full and clear history of development and changes.
- Assist in investigating issues and developing resolutions in a timely manner with technical authors.
- Follow departmental standards and guidelines for design and development, ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvement to IT management/Team Lead.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to meet and complete project milestones on time and accurately.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Informatica and SQL.
- Working knowledge of UNIX command line interface.
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL or a similar procedural language.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and PC literacy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Creativity and ingenuity with a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Tenacity, patience, and the ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.
- Understanding of business processes and constraints.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support the organization's quality programs.
- Travel as needed.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Specific knowledge of Oracle databases, PL/SQL, C#/C++/C, Open Source, Korn Shell Script, Perl, or Progress 4GL is highly preferred.
Education & Licensing:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Major in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.
- Relevant courses in language development or business analysis experience preferred.
- Education in interpreting user requirements, designing business applications, and developing business applications is strongly preferred.
