Job Description
We are seeking a Commercial Application Support Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in operational process analysis, data mining, reporting, and application support and a proven ability to prioritize stakeholder requests, resolve production issues, and deliver measurable operational improvements.
Work Arrangement:
- Onsite, 5 days per week.
- Possible future transition to a hybrid schedule with at least 2 in-office days per week, based on role requirements and performance.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve operational and operational support processes under the guidance of leadership.
- Assist in identifying and implementing operational improvements that drive measurable benefits such as revenue growth, expense reduction, and enhanced client experience.
- Develop reporting and metrics to measure process performance and effectiveness.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and practices in Operations, Risk Management, and Compliance.
- Support resolution of business-critical operational or technology issues, including impact analysis, root cause analysis, cross-business impact, and solution recommendations; communicate clearly to end users and stakeholders.
- Mine data from primary and secondary sources, including complex joins across multiple datasets.
- Support application changes, upgrades, issue remediation plans, and 2nd/3rd line of defense exams; plan and track tasks to completion.
- Partner with stakeholder groups to prioritize workload and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Attention to detail in documenting and implementing requirements.
- Strong organization and analytical problem-solving skills; ability to resolve less-than-straight-forward issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; effective change management skills; reliable task ownership.
- Technically savvy with Windows systems, software, and databases; proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Access.
- Experience with Excel and Jira, including managing large data sets, pivot tables, and data visualization/graphs.
- Ability to partner with stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and track work to completion.
- Compliance with corporate policies and procedures; professional, ethical conduct and conflict-of-interest avoidance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Experience level: 3+ years in relevant roles.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of production application systems supporting internal and external clients.
- Working knowledge of business data analysis techniques and tools.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience required.
Additional Competencies:
- Bias for execution and the ability to leverage resources to achieve planned outcomes.
- High accuracy and precision in deliverables.
- Root cause analysis proficiency and solution development across diverse scenarios.
- Basic understanding of risk management and organizational planning concepts.
- Effective collaboration, communication, and influencing across teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with back-office operations in banking, including transaction processing and records management.
- Demonstrated alignment with company values and code of conduct.
Physical Demands:
- General office environment with prolonged sitting, face-to-face or phone communication, frequent use of PC/laptop, and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
