The ideal candidate will handle inbound and outbound inquiries, provide accurate information, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure a positive experience for all members and providers. Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative with experience supporting medical, healthcare, or Medicaid members. The ideal candidate will handle inbound and outbound inquiries, provide accurate information, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure a positive experience for all members and providers. Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound calls from members, providers, and clients related to medical benefits, eligibility, claims, authorizations, and Medicaid processes.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely information while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Research and resolve customer concerns by accessing multiple systems, reviewing documentation, and escalating issues when needed.
- Assist members with navigating benefits, understanding coverage details, and completing required forms or procedures.
- Document all interactions, updates, and outcomes in the customer service system with accuracy and compliance.
- Follow HIPAA and organizational privacy standards while handling sensitive medical or personal information.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as claims, clinical support, and case management to resolve complex inquiries.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including call quality, accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in training, coaching, and team meetings to stay updated on Medicaid guidelines and internal processes.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in medical, healthcare, insurance, or Medicaid environments.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, benefits, claims, or Medicaid guidelines (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Ability to multitask across systems while maintaining high accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and customer service or CRM systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.
- Experience working in a call center supporting medical or Medicaid members.
- Prior exposure to healthcare insurance plans, authorizations, or claim processing.
