Snowflake Administrator
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Snowflake Administrator in TN.
Position Title: Snowflake Administrator
Location: TN (Remote)
Expected Duration: 3+ Months

Job Description:
As a Snowflake Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Snowflake accounts, ensuring efficient handling of user access, roles, and security configurations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Account Management: Administer Snowflake accounts by managing user access, roles, privileges, and security configurations.
* Performance Optimization: Optimize Snowflake performance through query optimization, resource allocation, and efficient system configurations.
* Resource Planning: Plan and manage Snowflake resource and capacity utilization to ensure efficiency and scalability.
* Automation: Automate routine tasks, including new schema creation and role access provisioning.
* Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, architects, and analysts to effectively integrate Snowflake with other data systems and applications.
* Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, data encryption, and compliance requirements within Snowflake.
* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Snowflake infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration points.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of Snowflake configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Training and Support: Provide training and support to users and stakeholders on Snowflake best practices, usage guidelines, and new features.
* Disaster Recovery: Contribute to the development and execution of disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection and business continuity.
Required experience:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in platform administration for Snowflake.
* At least 2 years of managing production workloads on cloud infrastructure.
* Strong proficiency with Snowflake architecture, features, and capabilities.
* Solid knowledge of SQL and Snowflake-specific query optimization techniques.
* Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
* Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* In-depth knowledge of Snowflake security features, including access control, authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, secure views, and more.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
* Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
