Position Title: IT Service Desk Auditor

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 06+ Months with the possibility of extension up to 1 year

Job Type: Onsite

Pay Range: $30/hr - $40/hr

Job Description:

Position Overview:

Seeking a detail-oriented and security-focused IT Service Desk Auditor to support the Service Desk team with a comprehensive Account Management Audit.

This role focuses on reviewing user access, validating employment status, and identifying segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts to ensure compliance with security and access control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct full audits of user accounts across assigned applications and systems.

Review and validate user access against HR audit data to confirm current employment status.

Identify, document, and track inactive or orphaned accounts for remediation or deactivation.

Analyze role assignments using the Segregation of Duties (SoD) Matrix.

Identify and flag SoD conflicts, access violations, or policy gaps.

Maintain detailed documentation of audit findings and corrective actions.

Provide regular progress updates to the Service Desk Manager and IT Security team.

Support remediation efforts related to access corrections and account clean-up.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in IT Service Desk operations, Identity & Access Management (IAM), or IT Auditing.

Hands-on knowledge of user provisioning and deprovisioning processes.

Understanding of segregation of duties (SoD) and access control best practices.

Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for tracking and reporting.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Additional Details:

Position is 100% on-site.

Initial 6-month contract, with potential extension up to 12 months.

Immediate impact role supporting security and compliance initiatives.
