Position Title: Lead Business Analyst
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Anticipated Start Date: 12/2/2024.Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.
Expected Duration: 6+ Months (expectation to extend)
Job Type: Contract, Remote
Pay Range: $80/hr - $90/hr.Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Lead Business Analyst (Data Management) to lead an initiative, focusing on data and systems archival\ decommissioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, excellent analytical skills, and experience in managing the lifecycle of IT systems from active use to decommissioning. This is a 6 + month contract position. Key Responsibilities:* Data Archival Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive data archival strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.* Systems Decommissioning: Plan and execute the decommissioning of legacy systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, data governance, records management and business units to understand requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.* Documentation: Create detailed documentation of data archival processes, decommissioning plans, and system inventories* Compliance: Ensure all archival and decommissioning activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with data archival and system decommissioning* Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on data archival procedures and new systems post-decommissioning. Qualifications:* Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data management, or IT systems decommissioning. Skills:o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.o Proficiency in data management tools and software.o Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data archival and system decommissioning.o Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications:* Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).* Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
