BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Migration Technician for a opportunity in Toronto, Ontario!
Position Title: Migration TechnicianLocation: Toronto, Ontario
Anticipated Start Date: 04/07

Expected Duration: 9+ months contract + Renewable

Pay Range: $29 - $30/hrPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Duties and Responsibilitie:?A Windows 11 Migration Technician plays a crucial role in upgrading and deploying Windows 11 across an organization's computing environment. The primary responsibilities include imaging devices, migrating data, and performing physical deployments of hardware. Given your specified maximum rate of $45 CAD per hour, it's important to note that compensation can vary based on experience, location, and project scope.?Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging and Configuration: Prepare and configure new and existing PCs for Windows 11 deployment using imaging technologies and scripts.?
- Hardware Deployment: Replace outdated hardware (e.g., desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals) with new or reimaged equipment, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.?
- Data Migration: Assist users in transferring profiles, files, and settings to new Windows 11 endpoints, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.?
- Software Installation: Install and configure necessary software applications on end-user devices.?
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues related to the migration.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets, updating inventories as necessary.?
- Experience: Minimum of six months in an IT support role, with hands-on experience in Windows 10/11 environments.?
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in imaging tools like SCCM, understanding of Windows operating systems, and familiarity with data migration processes.?
- Soft Skills: Strong customer service orientation, excellent communication abilities, and adept problem-solving skills.
