IT Support Associate

BCForward is looking for IT Systems Support Specialist- Remote

Position Title: IT Systems Support Specialist

Locations: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: 04/10

Expected Duration: 9+ Months

Job Type: Contract with possible extension

Schedule/Hours will range 9:30a-6p or 10:30a-7p (CST) Monday Friday

Pay Rate $21.00/hr. on W2

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide basic IT systems support to end users on a variety of computer system issues, respond to telephone calls, emails, and technical support requests, and document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, research, resolve, and respond to a high volume of simple to moderately complex issues or questions from internal and external customers.
  • Provide status and follow-up information to customers and escalate calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Document customer issues in the call tracking system timely and accurately.
  • Assist in the real-time resolution of support issues to decrease downtime and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on policies, relevant products, and industry trends to provide technically accurate solutions.
  • Provide after-hours support via on-call cell phone.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support the organization's quality program(s).

Lifting Requirement: Ability to lift between 20 and 40 pounds

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong computer knowledge, including Windows OS, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral, written, and business communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong stress and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet/exceed performance competencies.

Education & Licensing:

  • Bachelors/ Associate degree in a computer technology field preferred.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of computer systems-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including two (2) years of proprietary software support experience and one (1) year of Windows operating system troubleshooting experience.
  • JURIS or claims management application experience preferred.
