Job SummaryThe Business Operations Analyst supports the Office of Data and Analytics (ODA) by managing budget tracking and financial reporting, supporting workforce planning, coordinating business operations projects, and contributing to organizational strategy and performance management. This role works closely with ODA leadership, Finance, and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and advance agency priorities.The incumbent operates independently under general guidance and serves as a project or initiative lead without direct supervisory responsibility.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBudget & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking of all ODA budgets.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and deliverables to the Finance team in a timely manner.
- Monitor expenditures and support leadership in the optimal use of funds to support staffing and operational needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of business operations strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with ODA leadership to evaluate and implement new systems, tools, or procedures that enhance workflows.
- Support internal communications initiatives related to business operations improvements.
- Assist with the development, tracking, and maintenance of performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with the Office of Performance Excellence on ODA's role in agency strategic planning and KPI tracking.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Provide project coordination and administrative support for high-priority business operations initiatives.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and action items; support communication among stakeholders.
- Serve as a project or initiative lead and delegate tasks to team members as appropriate, with support from senior staff.
- Assist with drafting and updating job descriptions to ensure positions are accurately classified and aligned with operational needs.
- Advise leadership on relationship management between ODA and other divisions to support collaboration and service delivery.
- Adhere to HIPAA and applicable state statutes related to data confidentiality and individual privacy.
- Support data governance and data transformation initiatives as requested.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support ODA and agency priorities.
- Strong understanding of business operations, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and analyze performance metrics and operational reports
- Strong organizational, project coordination, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Knowledge of government, healthcare, or regulated environments preferred
- Work is performed in a standard office environment
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Standard business hours
