Job Description
We are seeking an ASIC Power Engineer to join our team supporting AR/VR products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ASIC power analysis, optimization, and low-power methodologies and a proven ability to drive PPA improvements across synthesis and physical design flows.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PPA optimization using Synopsys Fusion Compiler.
- Conduct RTL and netlist-level power analysis.
- Develop post-processing and scripting for report parsing, format conversion, and data extraction.
- Set up, run, debug, and analyze ASIC flows including synthesis, physical design, power, and timing.
- Implement RTL blocks and power intent using UPF.
- Document methods and communicate results with clarity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years as an ASIC Power Engineer, CAD Engineer, or Physical Design Engineer.
- Proficiency with power estimation tools and synthesis, with exposure to physical design.
- Knowledge of power trade-offs across design and back-end implementation.
- Hands-on scripting and data analysis skills in Python, TCL, or similar.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Synopsys tools (DC, ICC, PTPX/PrimePower, VCS, Verdi) and/or Cadence Joules.
- Python and Perl scripting for automation and data post-processing.
- Excel or MATLAB for model fitting, visualization, and analysis.
- Low-power design experience including UPF-based power intent.
- Silicon power characterization experience.
- Power profiling at IP and SoC level.
