BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated LLM Application Engineer / Python Developer in Lawrence Township, NJ

We're currently hiring for a LLM Application Engineer to support a cutting-edge Life Sciences Research team. This hybrid role (50%+ onsite) offers the chance to develop impactful cloud applications and integrate AI/LLM technology into real-world drug discovery initiatives.

?? Schedule: Normal Business Hours | Hybrid (50%+ onsite)
?? Pay Rate: $75/hr
?? Duration: 12 months

?? Top Skills We're Looking For:

• Experience with LLM frameworks and APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)
• Full stack app development using Python and React
• Strong SQL & NoSQL database knowledge (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redshift, etc.)

?? About the Role:

You'll play a key role in designing and deploying modern cloud-based applications to support scientific research and drug discovery. This includes:

• Building full-stack apps (Python, React, Streamlit/RShiny)
• Creating REST APIs and integrating third-party tools like Benchling, Genedata
• Developing LLM-powered features for ETL automation and NLP tasks
• Working with AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, Redshift, etc.)
• Implementing CI/CD DevOps and security best practices

?? Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience in software engineering
• 1-2 years working with LLMs in production or experimental applications
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
