Sample Management Team Support Specialist

BC Forward is Looking for Sample Management Team Support Specialist at Indianapolis, IN

Client has an exciting and challenging opportunity in the Analytical Operations Team for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Sample Management Team Support Specialist. The Candidate will provide support to lab modernization through use of software applications and lab work processes. This position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

* Create and manage Master Data in LabVantage (LV) LIMS.

* Conduct testing of new functionality, enhancements, version release in LV LIMS

* Provide general system/user support.

* Assist in triaging, prioritizing, and escalating service tickets.

* Provide update communications on service tickets

* Collect feedback on enhancements and requirements.

* Test Request Portal to assist with stakeholder roll-out and support.

* Pull and summarize metrics.

* Monitor and process requests for analytical studies. Utilize existing and developing software tools to manage the receipt, labeling, distribution, and disposal of test materials, consumables, and supplies.

* Manage and dispense consumables inventory including analytical supplies, standards, and solvents.

* Data entry to support lab modernization.

* Bachelor's degree in science is preferred but candidates with an A.S. degree or currently pursuing BS in related field would be considered

* Degree in Chemistry or a related science is preferred.

* Ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and customer focused environment.

* Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate urgent projects.

* Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively interact with a diverse group of stakeholders and peers.

* Demonstration of the value of environmental health and safety.

* Previous experience in an analytical laboratory is preferred.
