Job Description

We are seeking a Senior DataStage Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IBM DataStage ETL development, data integration, and database design and a proven ability to deliver scalable data solutions in Agile environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using IBM DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Create and maintain logical and physical database models to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver incremental value within sprints.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational systems, flat files, and APIs, into enterprise data warehouses.
• Tune ETL jobs and database queries for scalability and efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and database schemas.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to validate requirements and testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ETL workflows and data pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage, including parallel and server jobs.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Experience with Agile frameworks, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Demonstrated ability in performance tuning and ETL troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior developers.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience integrating APIs within ETL pipelines.
• Exposure to automated testing for data pipelines and ETL jobs.
