IT Systems Engineering Advisor Sr

• Must-Have: Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s)
  
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with OpenShift
  

• Design, implement, and maintain lifecycle management, security, resiliency, and performance of production and non-production environments with minimal supervision.
  
• Drive infrastructure lifecycle management and capacity planning across the organization.
  
• Lead architectural improvements and standardization initiatives for IT infrastructure, including networking, hardware, monitoring tools, and application infrastructure.
  
• Provide 3rd-tier technical support both onsite and remotely.
  
• Identify, evaluate, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  
• Support and troubleshoot remote access solutions including VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
  
• Design disaster recovery (DR) solutions and lead DR planning and testing.
  
• Review and approve vendor invoices related to infrastructure solutions.
  

• Participate in organizational quality initiatives.
  
• Travel as required.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  
• Technical certifications from accredited institutions preferred.
  

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• At least 4 years of experience in:
  
  • Designing and implementing IT infrastructure.
    
  • Managing Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
    
  • Monitoring and maintaining Exchange Server (2003-2016) and Windows Server (2003-2016).
    
  • MSCE Server infrastructure management.
    

• Required:
  
  • Expertise with Kubernetes (K8s).
    
  • Experience with containerization and virtualization tools (e.g., OpenShift, Hyper-V, vSphere, Citrix).
    
  • Strong Azure cloud knowledge.
    
  • Proficient in VPN configuration/troubleshooting (Cisco, Palo Alto, OpenVPN, IPSec).
    
  • In-depth understanding of networking protocols (OSI layers, TCP/IP).
    
  • Solid background in security tools (anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware).
    
• Preferred:
  
  • Experience with disaster recovery design and implementation.
    
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level monitoring tools and system performance tuning.
    

• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
  
• Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Well-organized, with excellent attention to detail.
  
• Collaborative mindset with a team-oriented work ethic.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  

• Mental: Must demonstrate clear thinking, sound judgment, strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage stress and competing priorities.
  
• Physical: Frequent computer usage; travel as needed.
  
• Auditory/Visual: Clear vision, hearing, and verbal communication required.
