IT Software Development Specialist Sr
Position: Oracle PL/SQL Developer (IT Software Development Specialist Sr)Location: Remote Anticipated Start date : 07/28
Duration: 12 months Contract to hire
Shift Schedule: M-F 40hrs/week
Pay Range: $51.00/hr

Job Description:
Skill Set Matrix (Required with Submission):
Writing PL/SQL Packages for Data Loads -
Creating & Maintaining Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Anonymous Blocks in Oracle
Working with Cursors to Retrieve Data from Oracle Databases -
Query Optimization, Performance Tuning, and Use of Explain Plan -
Working with External Tables and High-Volume Data Imports into Oracle -
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of strong experience in Oracle server-side development and database programming. This role requires deep knowledge of PL/SQL, performance tuning, data loads, and integration techniques within Oracle environments.
Manager's Requirements:

8+ years of professional experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
- Advanced expertise in:
- PL/SQL Programming: Packages, Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, Temporary Tables.
- Object-Oriented PL/SQL, Job Schedulers, PL/SQL Web Services, and Java Stored Procedures.
- Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) and XML generation within PL/SQL.
- Data analysis, modeling, and documentation.
- PL/SQL Programming: Packages, Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, Temporary Tables.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- UNIX Shell Scripting for job automation.
- Writing user-defined object types, records, and tables for queues and arrays.
- Advanced exception handling and debugging within PL/SQL.
- UNIX Shell Scripting for job automation.
- Proficient in:
- Creating and managing Materialized Views, Indexes, and Autonomous Transactions.
- Writing and optimizing dynamic SQL statements.
- SQL Tuning using Explain Plan and index strategies.
- Creating and managing Materialized Views, Indexes, and Autonomous Transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, test, and debug software in a Windows client/server environment.
- Work with technologies such as PL/SQL, Oracle, .NET, Progress 4GL, and Microsoft SQL.
- Gather and analyze system requirements to design moderately complex solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications and develop program code accordingly.
- Support claim management systems, intake services, carrier/client interfaces, and partner integrations.
- Respond to and resolve escalated support calls, correcting both data and software issues.
- Adhere to software development standards, coding practices, and documentation guidelines.
- Collaborate with and mentor junior developers as needed.
- Stay updated on new technologies and software development practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Actively support and contribute to the organization's quality and service programs.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery to internal and external clients.
