Job Description

The team is seeking a motivated and hands-on Supply Chain Analyst to implement industrial engineering and Lean principles at a warehouse in Newark, CA. The analyst will collaborate with internal and external teams to improve processes that increase efficiency, capacity, quality, and safety. The role requires regular onsite presence in Fremont and Newark and the ability to commute between sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Process Engineers in developing and deploying processes that improve efficiency, data visibility, and inventory accuracy.
  • Design and implement workstation layouts to increase space utilization and reduce cycle time.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify constraints, execute solutions, and address daily process escalations.
  • Conduct time studies and update Standard Operating Procedures following change management.
  • Improve workstation safety and ergonomics.
  • Serve as liaison with third-party vendors, coordinate routine activities, and track escalations to closure.
  • Support projects with data analysis, process mapping, and proposals for system enhancements.
  • Fulfill ad hoc stakeholder requests such as data reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Pull data from multiple sources and build charts and graphs for storytelling, root cause analysis, and process improvements.
  • Assist in solution testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Validate data and dashboards and provide insights for decision making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cycle time, the eight wastes, root cause analysis, Just-in-Time, 5S, and DMAIC.
  • Ability to create process flow maps and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience conducting cycle time and time studies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and deadlines under pressure.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Intermediate skills in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, and Forms.
  • Intermediate data analysis skills, including SQL and Tableau dashboard development.
  • Ability to gather data from multiple sources and develop reporting aligned to business needs.
  • Aptitude to learn new tools quickly and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience level: 5+ years in supply chain, industrial engineering, or logistics analytics roles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in warehouse layout design and ergonomics improvements.
  • Background in Lean or Six Sigma projects with measurable outcomes.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Analytics and 3+ years of related work experience.
