BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated MAG Auditor for an opportunity in Remote (Austin, TX 78727)
Position Title: MAG Auditor
Location: Remote (Local to Austin, TX )
Anticipated Start Date: August 4th 2025Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.
Expected Duration: 6+ months (with possibility of extension)
Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Remote
Pay Range: $26/hr - $28.46/hrPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Description:The MAG Auditor audits financial and statistical cost reporting data to accurately determine provider's reimbursement rates for processing of Medicaid claims Process Description: The MAG Auditor audits financial and statistical cost reporting data to accurately determine provider's reimbursement rates for processing of Medicaid claims. The MAG Auditor prepares and signs off on tentative and final cost settlements. Performs on-site field audits of childrens hospitals. Use knowledge of compliance rules and regulations to propose adjustments to providers financial data or recommend changes to their policies and procedures. Skills Description:Business degreeIntermediate Microsoft SkillsTime management skillsProblem-solving skillsTeam-oriented Would be nice to have skills: Accounting Degree, Auditing experience, Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, Excellent leadership, communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills Roles and responsibilities:-Prepares tentative and final cost settlements to accurately determine providers' reimbursement rates for processing Medicaid claims for hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers.-Audits financial and statistical data to verify and monitor accuracy with government procedures.-Uses knowledge of compliance rules and regulations to propose adjustments to providers financial data or recommend changes to their policies and procedures.-Performs on-site audits (requires travel) Performs reconciliation for FQHC quarterly wrap payments.Benefits:
