Job Purpose:
As a member of the Regulatory Sciences team, the Research Associate will support molecular analysis activities for regulatory biosafety studies with a focus on PCR-based methodologies. The role involves performing laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols, collecting and organizing study data, and providing technical support to ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory requirements.

Job Description:
Job Purpose:
As a member of the Regulatory Sciences team, the Research Associate will support molecular analysis activities for regulatory biosafety studies with a focus on PCR-based methodologies. The role involves performing laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols, collecting and organizing study data, and providing technical support to ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Molecular Analysis Support
- Conduct molecular analyses including DNA extraction, sample weighing, control generation, master mix preparation, and PCR plate setup.
- Provide technical support for method investigation, development, and adaptation to address:
- Laboratory molecular technology challenges
- Emerging data requirements
- Document experimental protocols, methodologies, and results in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Participate in GLP-compliant experiments designed to answer key scientific questions.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot technical issues related to PCR technologies; collaborate with laboratory personnel to develop and implement solutions.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory resources, including inventory management, safety compliance, and equipment calibration.
- Adhere strictly to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), worksheets, and analytical methods for sample handling, DNA extraction, reagent preparation, genomic controls, and PCR processes.
- Maintain comprehensive equipment maintenance logs, including daily, routine, and non-routine checks.
- Support the preparation of regulatory trait packages by coordinating research, greenhouse, and lab activities to obtain necessary materials such as tissues, reagents, and labware.
- Prepare and document study records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
