Location: Downtown, On-site (Phoenix, Arizona)
Duration: Temp - 12 months (Contract-to-hire possible)
Pay Range: $19/hr $20/hr (W2)

Job Description
We are seeking a Licensing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in licensing operations, compliance, and customer service and a proven ability to manage application workflows accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing online and paper applications in the licensing system.
- Verify application compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.
- Conduct fingerprinting and background checks and provide applicants with status updates.
- Respond to public inquiries by phone and email with clear, timely information.
- Log fees and receipts and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare board meeting materials and minutes. Attend and assist with board meetings.
- Order and track office supplies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry in licensing or similar platforms.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to take direction and work independently while taking ownership of tasks.
- Customer service skills with clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with state agencies or boards.
- Background in system migrations, audits, or licensing operations.
- Customer service in high-volume environments.
Schedule & Work Setting:
- Full-time, on-site. Expected 40 hours per week with some schedule flexibility.
- Work exclusively on site downtown, with consideration for remote as needed.
