Job Description

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruitment activities for the Space and Defense Group in a flexible, hybrid schedule at our Blacksburg, VA facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-cycle, high-volume recruiting within manufacturing environments and a proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and deliver qualified talent efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
• Support assigned functions by attending town halls and business update meetings.
• Identify and partner with technical vocational schools and local workforce organizations.
• Plan and coordinate on-site hiring events and represent the company at local job fairs and industry networking events.
• Proactively source candidates through multiple channels.
• Conduct phone screens and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
• Prepare, extend, and negotiate offers in line with guidelines.
• Compose and post clear, attractive job advertisements.
• Maintain data integrity in the Applicant Tracking System (Workday).
• Communicate with hiring teams throughout the recruitment process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting with high-volume requisition management.
• Experience recruiting and hiring in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to build relationships and influence partners at all levels.
• Strong organization with an ability to act with urgency.
• Resourceful and creative approach to talent attraction.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Workday Applicant Tracking System.
• Experience recruiting for space, defense, or advanced manufacturing roles.
