BCforward is currently seeking Gameplay Software Engineer as a Remote opportunity!!

Position Title: Gameplay Software Engineer

Location: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: 6/15/2025

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 06 Months

Job Type: Contract (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY)

Pay Range: $75 - $85/HR

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Title: Gameplay Software Engineer

Duration: 06 months

Location: 100% Remote

Job Description: Gameplay Software Engineer(s) - Games

Responsibilities

  • Create sample TypeScript code to demonstrate NPC behaviors in Horizon Worlds
  • Create both simple and complex examples that can be used both for creator samples and for AI training.
  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years game development experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible - able to adapt plans and react to change in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
  • A habit of writing super-clean, encaspsulated, testable, and well documented code.
  • Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of 3D math.
  • Experience with version control and build systems.

3 Different Roles on the Team to be Filled

1) Gameplay Software Engineer (C#)

Responsibilities

  • Create NPC tools to demonstrate NPC behaviors in Horizon Worlds
  • Create both simple and complex examples that can be used both for creator samples and for AI training.
Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years game development experience.
  • Proficiency in C#
  • Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible - able to adapt plans and react to change in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
  • A habit of writing super-clean, encapsulated, testable, and well documented code.
  • Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.

2) Gameplay Software Engineer (TypeScript)

Responsibilities

  • Create sample TypeScript code to demonstrate NPC behaviors in Horizon Worlds
  • Create both simple and complex examples that can be used both for creator samples and for AI training.

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years game development experience.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.

  • A habit of writing super-clean, encapsulated, testable, and well documented code.
  • Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.
