Position Title: Laboratory Technician Lv2

Location: Elk River, MN 55330

Expected Duration: 3+ Months

Pay Rate: $21/hr on W2

Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST

Job Requirements

• Working with 100-150 samples per day
• All information goes into Microsoft Excel, candidates will be trained in Excel - someone with a little Excel experience is helpful but not necessary
• Assist lab techs with preparing samples.
• Repetitive and involves handling various types of samples (corn, grass, animal feed).
• Tasks include weighing samples (100mg to 5 grams) and ensuring accurate info is recorded for each analysis.
• Largely involves routine tasks that require focus and attention to detail for long periods.
• Lab environment is fast-paced and requires someone capable of performing high-volume tasks consistently.

Education and Experience

• Edu: High School Diploma (required)
• Previous lab experience is a plus but not required. Manufacturing, retail, or machine operator experience would be valuable.
• Searching for entry-level candidates primarily.
• Data entry experience is also acceptable.
• A lot of weighing, so familiarity with analytical balances is important.
• Nature of tasks remain routine, but types of samples change.

Physical Requirements

• Not any restrictions on needing to lift. Samples will be kept in large plastic bins that are light enough to handle.

Additional Preferences/Info

• Disregard the Lab Tech levels, just part of backoffice items. Very similar to Lab Tech Lv1 position that came out previously
• Potential allergens possible - peanuts, grass pollen, etc. This should be considered if someone has airborne food allergies.
