Position Title: Application Programmer V

Location: Houston, TX!

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months.

Job Type: CONTRACT, HYBRID

Pay Range: $60/hr - $65/hr on W2

Requirements:

Details: Application Support Specialist for the front office trading desks of Bank Of America, Commodities. Bank Of America Commodities is a global organization with major trading centres in Houston, London and Singapore. The Houston office currently trades both physical and financial commodities, including Natural gas, Power, Coal, Crude Products, and Commodity Index. The IT department has a headcount of approximately 150, working in Houston, London, Singapore as well as an India division. Role Specific Responsibilities:

* L1/L2 Front Office Trading Support
* Application Resiliency and Reporting
* Application Monitoring
* Incident Management and Issue Tracking
* Change Control and Release Management
* Capacity Planning
* BCP Planning
* Permit to Release
* Service Level Management
* Liaison with Infrastructure Teams
* Prior experience in the Financial Industry, specifically supporting a trading desk
* Working knowledge of application monitoring
* Prior experience with incident management in a support function role
* Understanding of Service Level Agreements and Management
* Demonstrated inter-office communications
* Prior working knowledge of writing/debugging : Perl, Python, Linux/Unix shell and SQL
* Familiar with Tibco/FIX Messaging systems
* Prior Bloomberg terminal experience
* Prior experience in the Financial Industry, specifically supporting a trading desk.
* Working knowledge of application monitoring.
* Prior experience with incident management in a support function role.
* Understanding of Service Level Agreements and Management.
* Demonstrated inter-office communications.
* Prior working knowledge of writing/debugging : Perl, Python, Linux/Unix shell and SQL.
* Experience working with IDE's - Eclipse, MS Visual Studio, PyCharm.
* Experience working with version control systems maintaining source code.
* Experience working with Agile development methodologies
* Demonstrated experience writing DevOps applications in Perl, Python, or C#/Java. including Object Data Bases.
* Demonstrated experience writing DevOps complex relational database SQL statements and Object oriented Database (OODBMS) model interaction/instantiation.
* Prior working experience with Midrange server infrastructure and management (Windows/Unix/Linux).
* Prior working experience with Storage technologies like NAS/SAN, Qtrees, NFS.
* Prior working experience with Virtual Machines in AppHost/Cloud technologies.
* Familiar with Tibco/FIX Messaging systems.
* Prior Bloomberg terminal experience.
