Client is seeking an experienced, organized and self-motivated individual to support the development of cost-effective energy solutions for our growing fleet of data centers.
The Energy Program Manager is responsible for the timely delivery of utility infrastructure necessary to interconnect data centers to the utility grid. This role is critical to mission, as data centers are foundational to the company's AI and ambitions. The position is execution-focused, requiring strong project management, relationship-building, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Energy Infrastructure Projects: Oversee the full lifecycle of energy arrangements for US data centers, from site selection, construction, commissioning, operations, to retrofits.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with electric utility partners and internal
- cross-functional (XFN) teams (e.g., Engineering, Site Development, Finance, Legal).
- Negotiation & Agreements: Lead negotiations for energy infrastructure agreements, including interconnection and land
- agreements, ensuring alignment with requirements and policies.
- Project Management: Manage due diligence, site development, construction, commercial agreements, and operational processes for energy-related matters.
- Process Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements to optimize project delivery, resulting in time and cost savings.
- Communication: Serve as the single point of contact for utility partners throughout the project lifecycle, and coordinate with
- internal teams on reliability, substation design, and progress monitoring.
- Ad Hoc Initiatives: Lead and manage various energy initiatives, driving successful outcomes and delivering value.
- Travel: Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be
- required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental, or energy related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a utility, energy project developer, design/consulting firm, construction firm or energy intensive consumer
- Working knowledge of transmission, distribution and utility interconnection processes and electrical infrastructure
- Experience with project development and management for complex, large-scale projects
- Proven program management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Proven communications skills to develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote skills
