Credentialing Assistant
BC Forward is Looking for Credentialing Assistant - Remote (Only Central Time Zone)
Job Title: Credentialing Assistant
Location: Remote (Only Central Time Zone)
Start Date: July 14, 2025
Expected Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion (based on performance)
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (with potential for overtime)
Position Summary:
The Credentialing Assistant will support and assist the Credentialing department by maintaining documentation, managing correspondence, and ensuring compliance with credentialing processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor credentialing and re-credentialing queues for various providers.
- Prepare provider credentialing files for review and committee meetings.
- Generate and send correspondence to providers according to departmental workflows.
- Maintain and respond to emails in the Credentialing inbox promptly and professionally.
- Create and manage provider cases in the internal system.
- Performance expectations include managing approximately 60 credentialing emails daily and ensuring accurate case creation.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries about credentialing status.
- Provide administrative support to the Credentialing team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of data entry or administrative experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous credentialing experience is a plus.
- Positive and proactive attitude in a team-oriented environment.
