Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Azure Databricks, SQL, and Python and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize large-scale data engineering solutions in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and applications using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries for analytics and processing across cloud data platforms.
• Build data ingestion, processing, and curation solutions leveraging Azure native services and Spark.
• Collaborate within agile product teams to deliver reliable, secure, and governed data assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience/training.
• 5-7 years of software solution development in agile and DevOps environments, delivering large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
• 5-7 years of data analytics experience using SQL, including query tuning.
• 5-7 years of cloud and data lake experience, preferably on Microsoft Azure (Event Hubs, Data Factory, Databricks, DevOps, Blob Storage, Data Lake, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Proficiency with scripting and data processing: Python, Spark, Unix, SQL.
• Experience with data platforms such as Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake, Azure Data Explorer. Administration skills are a plus.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform.
• Familiarity with BI and analytics tools: Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, Grafana.
• Clear understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and privacy tools such as Informatica Axon, EDC, and BigID.
• Orchestration experience with Azure Data Factory or Tivoli.

Preferred Skills:

• Deep Azure experience across Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), Event Hubs, and Azure Stream Analytics (ASA).
• Airline industry experience.
• Azure Development Track Certification and Spark Certification.
